Jonah Lomu

Regarded as rugby’s first global superstar, Jonah Lomu became the youngest ever All Black when he played his first international in 1994 at the age of 19 years and 45 days. Playing on the wing, Lomu finished his international career with 63 caps and 37 tries. Of the 37 tries Lomu managed in his 63 tests, more than half (20) were scored in the 1995 season and in the 1999 Championship. In 2003 at the International Rugby Players Association’s awards ceremony Lomu was presented with a Special Merit Award.
